The fabulous Jill over at Breaking the Spine hosts a weekly event that highlights books we are eagerly anticipating the release of.

This week I chose Entwined with You by Sylvia Day. This is book #3 in the Crossfire Series. I particularly chose this one for my Waiting on Wednesday as there was quite a bit of controversy due to the new publication date and I wanted to put my two cents in.

If you haven’t read books 1&2 of this series, I suggest you drop what you are doing and go get them now!

So here goes…

I have no idea what it is like to write a few pages of a story let alone a whole book or series of books. I can not imagine the mind field that it is to self-publish or go mainstream. I do believe authors want what is best for their readers and sometimes decisions are out of their control. Maybe the book isn’t absolutely finished yet, maybe changes need to be made or perhaps the original publishing date clashed with something else. Whatever the reason, the fact can not be changed; Entwined with You will now reach us on June 4th 2013. Also, speculation is mounting that maybe there will be a fourth book in the series and this is causing the delay. To me a fourth book can only be a great thing. Who is ready to let this couple go? I know I’m not.  Sylvia Day has said herself this date is now set in stone. Will this stop me reading the book? Hell no. Does it make me want Gideon and Eva more? Uh Yeah! So before we get all up in Sylvia’s or Berkley’s grill lets stop to think of the huge amount of work that is required in order for us to click one button and have a book immediately in our hands. Sure I need more of Gideon and Eva like yesterday but the anticipation I now have for this book means I am going to devour it within hours of it reaching my iPad. And for this I can’t wait!
